Little Black Bastard - (30 June – 2 July, 7.30pm, Rich Mix, Bethnal Green Road E1)

A hit at last year’s Edinburgh Festival, Little Black Bastard is an autobiographical tale about growing up with the worst start in life: being gay, black and impoverished in an era when Aboriginals were deemed sub-human.

Noel Tovey, now 76 and an Aboriginal elder, is a internationally successful actor, dancer, choreographer and campaigner, and was director of the indigenous welcoming at the Sydney Olympics. His astonishing life-story is shocking, inspiring and totally mesmerizing.
